Our History

Founded in September 1943 as First National Bank of Maywood, the Bank’s original location was in a building on the corner of 5th Avenue and Lake Street in Maywood, Illinois. A stand-alone facility was built in 1955, three blocks south of the original site. The Bank’s name was changed to First Suburban National Bank in 1984, in conjunction with the opening of its first branch in Broadview, Illinois. First Suburban has continued to grow with the addition of a branch in Crestwood, Illinois and the FSNB Private Banking and Wealth Management Center in Chicago. As of Spring 2007, First Suburban has grown to over 65 employees and $200 million in assets, accomplished through local involvement, personal services and relationships in the business community.
