In 1984, we formed our holding company –First State Bancorp of Monticello, Inc. We have two locations in McLean County, Illinois and through our sister bank -First State Bank of Monticello we have locations in other communities such as Champaign, Monticello, Tuscola, Atwood, and Hammond, Illinois.

Our strategic plan is to remain locally-owned and independent. We believe that our structure enables us to provide the best possible service to our customers. Our philosophy is summarized in our Mission Statement, as follows:
